So my dog, Tonka, seems to really really love cats. Like I suspect he had a cat he was bonded to wherever he lived before he was found and adopted, because like, he sees cats on the street and like wags and gets into a play bow and is just SO happy to see them, and he has like almost no prey drive so I’m pretty sure it’s not that. He also really loves baby things of any species (puppies, human babies, kittens, anything), so I think I might get him a kitten friend.

When we got the dog he was 60 lbs

and we were like “hm, he might be a little big for us”

He weighed, at last vet visit, 72 lbs and is a perfectly healthy weight with not an ounce of extra fat on him.
