I think a lot of political discussion on social media is… like unproductive cause the actual complete answer is book length and really complicated and like you have an answer, in fact several people have written really thorough answers to the question/responses to the argument, but like a response of “this book explains why you’re wrong” doesn’t work as a productive argument because social media discussion sort of exists in a limited time frame so…???

Like I mean it’s mostly that like it’s just not suited to the platform and like maybe we could create a better one for discussing politics but I don’t know what’d look like.
