Why is effortless chic so much more effort than regular chic?

I live basically in a uniform of:

1. Tight top + pencil skirt (either colorful top with black skirt or colorful skirt with black top) and pumps or boots
2. Black or red wiggle dress and pumps or boots
3. Full skirted, tight topped retro print dress and pumps

Just got these with store credit. SO in love.
