I don’t think that sex workers are sketchy, but I definitely think that there should be testing bi weekly or monthly to ensure that they’re preforming their jobs safely.
No, there absolutely SHOULDN’T be any sort of mandatory testing.

I have complicated feelings about this but because 1. Unregulated markets suck for workers (see: the entire 19th century) and 2. Workers should have the ability to take action against bosses, clients and management who demand unsafe practices.
So like, yes to legalizing sex work completely no to “free to make money however they can”. Like that’s what lead to the stock market crash and housing bubble and child labor and fuck… just a lot of bad shit.
Like I do think that OSHA style workplace health and safety guidelines are a really good idea as long as we have to deal with capitalism so that workers have some recourse when bosses pressure for unsafe working conditions. Like, I support regulation that means bosses can’t say “but they agreed to work in a factory with dangerous poorly maintained machinery, it’s not my fault they lost a limb”
Like a worker who is injured or gets a job related illness should get worker’s comp and have recourse against the person who caused the injury.
There do need to be labor laws surrounding sex work, not to stop the spread of disease, but to do what all labor laws do, protect workers from unscrupulous bosses.
