Just FYI: Marx’s labor theory of value is hard and if you think it’s wrong you’re probably misinterpreting it/missing the point.

Capital still has me confused, and I have a study guide for it.

I kinda feel like I need a study guide and a terabyte more brain RAM to really get it.

I have three translations of the text and all of them are still hard.  All I can say is take a lot of notes

and the introduction to the Penguin classics edition is somewhat helpful

http://www.amazon.com/Companion-Marxs-Capital-David-Harvey/dp/1844673596/ref=pd_bxgy_14_text_y

this is for a class that is specifically about Capital.

There’s a volume two also with more stuff.

I read Capital chapter one, I them read the guide chapter one, I then read Capital chapter one again.

It was still too dense for me. I feel like such an idiot.

I didn’t take notes, maybe that was the problem. It felt like too much info swimming in my head at once.

Notes are crucial, and the reading group helps

Hey I’d like to also suggest looking at Adam Smith and David Ricardo’s theories of labour too, because they are Marx’s predecessors. Many think he interpreted them wrong, but regardless, it might help with context?
Because when they were writing there wasn’t much literature to refer to, so it’s actually all pretty simple.

Yes this is also helpful
