Yeah, a lot of actresses that work with production companies have their own websites where you can buy directly from them or get a subscription.
This whole “indie porn is awesome, mainstream is the devil” kinda neglects that even mainstream actresses don’t make huge amounts of money anymore (mostly due to the “free porn” readily available) and buying their porn ensures that they will get hired again. Supply – demand.
Plus, some people want professional porn, there’s a certain look to it that you can’t really achieve with home equipment. Not everyone loves the amateur style.

Exactly, I don’t love some of the big company’s labor practices but that’s an issue for a union to handle, and not something the consumer can fix
