Communists do not want to take your house (there are more than enough to go around, thanks), your tv (warehouses full of new ones), your shitty used clothes (also warehouses and stores full of new ones), your collection of Ted Nugent Albums (no one wants those) or sofa (warehouse thing again, and yours is probably ugly anyway). Just the means of production, thanks.
Is this girl serious?
Dear Communists:
No. You keep fucking shit up. You simply can’t help it; you’re stupid people, every last one of you.
So, no, there will be no Revolution.
Signed:
Normal People
Dude, you were in the US Military, given its recent track record, you don’t really have room to talk about fuckups.
You’re a disaster. Go sort yourself out.
Honestly I think Communism is a great system, but it’s too idealist to actually work; it is too easily corrupted by human greed.
Okay, but here’s the thing, capitalism only works because of altruism, if we all did what was the rational best thing for us, we’d just take all the rich dude’s stuff. I’m a communist because I’m incredibly selfish and self interested, communism is the system that would: A: Provide most people with the best standard of living (and since most of us are going to be the unwashed masses, it’s in our best interest) and B: Prevent the destruction of the environment because capitalism will kill us all if it’s left to do its thing
Also: Spain in the 30s, worked beautifully in the Anarchist controlled sections, unfortunately, non-fascist countries were too shitty and cowardly to send guns, and the fascist countries were really happy to aid the fascists so they lost the war. However, the economy was efficient, food production was up, education was incredibly good, and basically shit just worked.
THIS JUST IN: America needs to not be shitty and get with the program.
*thank you for your input!!! This is super cool and I totally agree, capitalism is awful. The same people that would theoretically mess up communism are the ones screwing up capitalism (I mean it’s already a shit system but.*
We would have to be able to protect ourselves, though, so that wouldn’t happen again.
The ones who would theoretically mess up communism, are the ones who would be unable to fight the much larger mass of organized normal human beings, provided we did the work of mass horizontal organization
But the converting of the world would take time; take the Red Scare for example. Communism is a big No No. Until people saw how well it works, they would fight it. I agree though; once it’s in place, raise children with the morals necessary to keep it working. It would be really nice.
Change is always a fight. We have to create strong functional working class organizations
That’s true, but the answer is the problem itself
I used to think the same thing, until I read more history and theory, and I realized that we can win. It’s a fight we can win, especially when circumstances get desperate enough. I mean if you look at the history of Anarchism there are some very functional developments (that usually unfortunately got crushed by the military) but if we learn from history, it is doable. There is hope.
